USCG Auxiliary Meeting

Call to order: 09:00 the meeting was called to order and the pledge was recited and prayer was offered

Reports:

Bob Hough reviewed his year as FC, the financial picture for the Flotilla and recognized George Kontra for a year of excellent work.

Paula Schwartz gave a report on Coastie activity - More kids are being impacted weekly! - We will work on better transport plans - We need people to help with this coming Wednesday - Village visits will likely occur in the spring; we have 2 volunteers - We need more volunteers for the school year – we need transporters - A scrapbook is being prepared - We need a trailer for Coastie - We need coloring books and a flag for Coastie - We need to inventory what the Auxiliary owns – There is a Coastie training following the meeting.

ABS Class – November 27 – 8:30-4:00 –

OP Hough, as the next Member training officer, will begin training for Ops so that we can be certified for the spring boating season – Seamanship, Piloting/Navigation & SAR – Anyone interested should see Bob to sign up.

IT – Nymeyer reminded the Flotilla about turning in hours; and the Military lounge in Anchorage is no longer permitting night stays.

PA – Herman asked for reports or pictures for the Newsletter. If you are willing Drew needs help with the local radio show.

Several Gold side officers are awaiting greater participation with the AUX and support the Air Station.

Awards: Jane Renslow-Urie was sworn in as a new member. Bob swore in Brownlyn at her place of business. Mike Amberg received his 5-year service pin. Mark & Susan Nymeyer received their APC certificates. Tom Maloney got his ID card.
