Staff Reports
Joy Ng talked about Coastie. Discussion about whether it would be good to have Coastie at the fair, Sept 1&2. George will call around to see if anyone is available to help with that. A Coastie Committee is needed. Joy is willing to show up and be the “up-front-person”, but others are needed for the other aspects of Coastie.

Susan is working on a Coastie Training powerpoint presentation, in connection with an upcoming Coast Guard Aux C-school in Alameda

KDF box on the base is empty. All of our jackets are out. Maaike Myers will find out if we can get jackets through parks and rec. Mark Nymeyer will let her know sizes and quantities.

Joy Ng and Maaike Myers offered ice cream certificates at the meeting, for rewarding kids caught wearing their life jackets.

Member and Visitor Comments
Captain Carmel asked about having a booth at CrabFest. Discussion about tag-teameing with CG or Chief’s booth or recruiting booths. Booth should be an info point.

Captain Carmel inquired about boating safety courses. We offer these about 3 times a year.
Brief discussion about Private Aids to Navigation.

George Lee talked about Coxswain/Crew training—Slow progress because our guys are working when training usually happens. Evening training may be a possibility. Sarah Williams is the contact at the boat house
