MINUTES TO REGULAR MEETING

U.S. COAST GUARD AUXILIARY

September 10, 2005

Called to order at 8:44 a. m.

Remarks and announcements:

No new visitors.

Next month's meeting may be a combination meeting and social.

This is the last meeting for Weldon. He is leaving Wednesday evening and
going to Texas.

We desperately need vessel examiners. There was a discussion of who is
trained for this.

Jackie is in Hawaii so there are no minutes from the previous month.

End of the year - dues are collected for the 2006 year. Suzanne is
collecting them. They are due at the October meeting. If not collected by
November 1st, you will be disenrolled.

FSO Reports

Suzanne - dues for next year are due Oct. meeting.

Susan - send hours of everything you do, so they can be recorded.

V.E. - vacant since Gil's death

Tim - leaving the island on Monday, for Ft. Greely.

Rebecca - not present

Joy - in Anchorage - don't do much in the fall

Dave - no report

We have 3 instructors - Suzanne, Susan, and Olga.

New Business:

Nominations at the next meeting. There are 2 positions open - Flotilla
Commander and Vice Flotilla Commander. To be eligible, one must take the
AUX/ADMIN test. The only ones eligible are Suzanne and Dee Chiravelli. We
need people to take the test.

Susan will send out an e-mail for nominations that are upcoming.

Kids Don't Float- George has info on that - Weldon and Gil picked up the
boxes last fall - someone needs to check to see in NWR will store them for
us this fall. Some contacts are Rick Carman or Joe Ballard. See if George
will co-ordinate it. Weldon will talk to George. Wes went through the boxes
and pitched the ones that weren't good.

Mark Overbeek from Old Harbor is in the process of becoming a member.
