MINUTES TO REGULAR MEETING Introduction of Visitors & New Members: Jeff Eichs and Fritz Miller FC Remarks & Announcements: FC George Lee announced 8/20 is end-of-season picnic at the USCG Bowling Alley gazebo 4:00 p.m. Family and friends are invited. Bring side dish. FC Less acknowledge Weldon Kelley for his service and pending departure and Dave Yakish for his retirement. Approval of Minutes by Olga Eluska with second by Sharon Reppond. Staff Reports: Tim T. Reported six people took the ABC class. Wondering when the next one would be scheduled and who else might want to teach. If members want other training, don't hesitate to ask. Weldon reminded ABC Course is basis for doing any others. Dave Y. mentioned all crews we would work with are busy during the day and evenings in September and October would be needed for crew training. Would like to have 2-3 crews to rotate. Chief Gross is operations for state and said he would do crew training in one day. After that is coxswain training. Rebecca - vests are here and some money needs to be collected. Discussion re color. Olga put an article in the August 1st Kodiak Daily Mirror Coast Guard Supplement. Newspaper is interested in pictures of us actually doing things. She will put notice in paper about the picnic. Old Business: Fingerprinting forms are at Security and Printmasters (have them mark out on forms). Couple of outstanding bills, Gil's vest, Com Fish and ABC books.
